Google, amendat cu 403 milioane euro pentru datele de localizare

Google has been fined €403 million by the Irish Data Protection Commission for violating EU regulations on user geolocation data. This marks the fourth largest penalty imposed by the Irish authority, which oversees the company in Europe. The investigation, initiated in February 2020, revealed that users were not adequately informed about how their location data was used, potentially affecting their privacy. Google claims the practices in question have since been updated. The company is also under scrutiny in three other ongoing investigations by the DPC.
