In Russia, a woman was fined for creating a viral AI-generated image of a bear, which led to public panic and police intervention. The incident occurred in the Amur region, where authorities are on high alert due to recent bear attacks. The woman used ChatGPT to generate the image as a joke, but it sparked a real search for the nonexistent bear. This year, at least 26 people have been killed by bears, prompting the government to implement urgent measures to control the bear population, which has significantly increased. Over 3,440 bears deemed dangerous have been killed since the beginning of the year.
