Gigantul Google, taxat în UE cu sute de milioane de euro pentru prelucrarea datelor de geolocalizare

Google has been fined €403 million by the Irish Data Protection Authority for violating GDPR regulations regarding user geolocation data. This penalty is the fourth largest ever imposed by the Data Protection Commission (DPC), which oversees Google in Europe. The investigation, initiated in February 2020, focused on compliance with GDPR concerning features like 'Web and App Activity' and 'Location History'. Google stated that it has significantly improved its data management practices since 2019. The DPC is currently conducting three other advanced investigations into Google.
