Mihai Ghigiu, a PSD deputy, clarified that the recent changes in the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies were conducted according to regulations and not through an alliance with AUR or SOS Romania. He responded to accusations from USR and PNL, who plan to contest the decision in the Constitutional Court. Ghigiu emphasized that the rotation of positions was agreed upon by group leaders and reflects the distribution of mandates over the entire legislative term. He noted that the current changes do not undermine parliamentary proportions and that future adjustments could favor PNL. Ghigiu avoided commenting on whether this arrangement could influence PSD's support for a future government.
