Germanii de la Schaeffler vor asambla drone pentru Armata Franceză • Economie Biz Brasov
German auto parts manufacturer Schaeffler AG will assemble a new batch of drones for France's Delair and the Franco-German group KNDS, aiming to increase production rates tenfold. This order reflects a growing industrial model in France, Germany, and the U.S. that leverages automotive mass production capabilities to manufacture drones at lower costs amid rising battlefield demand. The French defense procurement agency awarded a contract for the MX-10 Damocles drones, which are capable of navigating to targets before crashing. Deliveries of the first batch began in December 2025, with hundreds already supplied. Schaeffler's production capacity will increase to 100 units per day by November, significantly enhancing output.
