Germany will provide 50 million euros for the repair of the Chernobyl reactor 4 sarcophagus, damaged by a Russian drone attack. The Ukrainian Energy Minister expressed gratitude to his German counterpart for supporting nuclear safety in Ukraine and Europe. The funds will be allocated to the International Cooperation Account for Chernobyl. The sarcophagus, designed for a century of protection, was severely compromised after the attack, with damage estimated at 500 million euros. Other partners, including the EU and Norway, have also pledged financial support for repairs.
