Germania l-a arestat pe fostul șef al serviciului său de informații externe, acuzat de trădare: „Sunt destul de uluit”
Germany has arrested August Hanning, former head of its foreign intelligence service, on charges of treason for allegedly purchasing classified documents for a foreign intelligence agency. The case has raised concerns about a significant leak of classified information and potential disruptions in intelligence sharing with foreign services. Hanning, 80, was detained under suspicion of espionage, and prosecutors are investigating his connections to Azerbaijan. His lawyer claims the accusations are incorrect, asserting that Hanning did not transmit sensitive information to the detriment of Germany. Another former intelligence official, Manfred D., has also been arrested in connection with the case, which involves around 2,000 documents, some classified.
