Germany is expressing interest in hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2038 or 2042, as reported by L'Equipe. Although the bidding process has not yet opened, Germany is prepared to host the tournament, marking the 20th anniversary of its last World Cup. Axel Hellmann from the German Football Association stated that they are eager to submit a bid, depending on FIFA regulations. The current rotation policy suggests that the 2038 event should be held in Oceania or North America, but Hellmann believes Europe should still be able to bid. He is optimistic about their chances for 2042 as well.
