The World Bank predicts that with adequate investments, cargo volumes could triple by 2030, while transport times may be halved. Georgia has successfully met its commitments under the EU Association Agreement and aims to strengthen international maritime norms in the Black Sea. The Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization highlighted Georgia's strategic role as a bridge between East and West, especially in light of current geopolitical challenges.
