Georgescu, control judiciar pentru 60 de zile. Decizia instanței

Călin Georgescu, a former presidential candidate, has been placed under judicial control for 60 days by DIICOT prosecutors. Along with businessman Ionel Rusen, he faces charges of organized crime and serious fraud. The court opted for judicial control instead of preventive arrest, a decision that DIICOT plans to contest. Supporters gathered outside the court, chanting messages of encouragement for Georgescu. The investigation began after businessman Răzvan Leu claimed he lost 1.1 million euros due to a fraudulent promise of external funding from Georgescu. Leu stated he had full trust in Georgescu, who he met in 2021 through a mutual friend, and accused him of deception in a business deal involving precious metals.
