After years of delays, the new road connection between Brașov and Sânpetru finally has a contractor, Geiger, with a contract value of over 110 million lei. The project will initially feature one lane in each direction, with plans for future expansion to four lanes. The road aims to provide a direct link between the Tractorul area and Sânpetru, serving as an alternative to the 13 Decembrie street. A significant aspect of the project is an underground passage under the Brașov bypass, ensuring continuity of the road. The initial estimated cost was over 125 million lei, but the loss of non-reimbursable funding required a reevaluation of the project's implementation.
