The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) fined Dormeo Home SRL 10,517 lei for violating GDPR regulations. The investigation began after a complaint about unsolicited marketing communications despite the individual's objection. The authority found that the company continued to contact the person via phone and SMS, constituting illegal data processing. In addition to the fine, ANSPDCP mandated corrective measures to ensure compliance with data protection rules. This is not the first fine for Dormeo this year, as they were previously fined 1,000 EUR for similar violations. ANSPDCP's sanctions can be challenged in court.
