The liberalization of gas markets since the Ukraine war has led to quicker consumer price adjustments. A survey indicates that gas price changes now reflect in inflation within one to three months in over half of eurozone countries. While inflation has surpassed 3%, the ECB may face pressure to raise interest rates, although electricity prices are less affected by gas price fluctuations due to renewable energy growth.
