At the beginning of the 20th century, Timișoara experienced significant urban development, leading to the construction of notable buildings, including the Bank of Scont. Originally built in the 18th century, the site underwent changes, with a new structure completed in 1909 under the direction of Max Steiner. The building, designed by architects Marcel Komor and Dezso Jakab, features unique decorative elements and was initially home to various professionals. After a period of neglect post-1989, restoration efforts began in 2019, focusing on preserving its architectural integrity and enhancing its aesthetic appeal with a special color scheme. The renovation aimed to maintain the building's historical significance while ensuring its longevity.
