GALERIE FOTO: Taxă de 100 de lei pentru bicicliști în „Orașul Stalin”. Cum se circula în haină de gală, cu plăcuță de înmatriculare, în Brașovul de altădată

A historic bicycle from the time when Brașov was named "Stalin City" is showcased at the Brașov Ethnographic Museum. This bicycle, equipped with a registration plate and circulation authorization from 1953, highlights the evolution of cycling practices. In the past, cyclists dressed elegantly, contrasting with today's modern gear. The museum features photographs from the late 1930s showing local residents with their bicycles. Before and after World War II, bicycles required registration and a metal identification plate for legal circulation. The museum proudly displays a rare "Veltrandt" bicycle with its identification plate and circulation authorization, issued on February 15, 1953.
