Thousands of students dressed in black on September 28 to protest against a proposed law mandating school uniforms in public education. The initiative, organized by the National Student Council (CNE), encouraged students to wear black voluntarily while attending classes. In various schools, groups of students gathered, some holding signs with the message "Education cannot be fixed at the tailor!" CNE clarified the distinction between voluntary dress choices and mandatory uniforms imposed by law. The protest coincides with the parliamentary procedure of the uniform project, which faces opposition from several student representation bodies. Senator Daniel Zamfir expressed willingness to discuss improvements to the law with CNE representatives.
