The construction of the missing section of the Sibiu-Nădlac Highway is progressing well, with over 90% completion of the first tunnel's galleries. The project aims to ensure a continuous highway connection between Sibiu and the Hungarian border. Excavation for the second tunnel is ongoing, with advanced safety systems planned. A dedicated plant for prefabricated beams and an asphalt station are on-site to optimize construction time. The project, which began in May 2024, includes over nine kilometers of new highway and aims to integrate previously constructed segments. Once completed, drivers will have uninterrupted access to the highway towards Nădlac, Arad, and Timișoara.
