The crater's analysis showed significant extraterrestrial material, suggesting it was created by a 10-meter-wide meteorite. Despite its size, the crater lacks typical impact features, possibly due to the meteorite slowing down in the atmosphere. The 2012 drilling project was historic, marking one of the first scientific investigations of a small impact crater in Australia, supporting the impact origin theory.
