The Suplacu de Barcău – Chiribiș section of the Transylvania Highway is 98% asphalted, according to Construcții Erbașu. This project, benefiting from the Ministry of Transport, has seen significant progress since its inception during the Bechtel contract. The current contract, valued at approximately 884 million lei, resumed in January 2025 and includes multiple bridges and viaducts, with the most notable being a 1.65-kilometer bridge over the Suplacu de Barcău reservoir.
