The Băile Herculane railway station will undergo rehabilitation through a 17 million lei project aimed at restoring its historical value and modernizing facilities. The project, awarded to GDO MOV Implex SRL and GLB Transark SRL, includes a 9-month design phase followed by 17 months of construction. Key improvements will enhance passenger comfort and accessibility while preserving architectural elements. The main building, constructed between 1878 and 1886, will house waiting areas and information services, while an auxiliary building will serve as a training center for railway staff. Restoration works will cover various structural and aesthetic aspects, including the installation of modern information systems and accessible facilities.
