Ionel Bușe, a university professor, lived in Nicolae Ceaușescu's former protocol house in Târgu Jiu shortly after the 1989 Revolution. He moved there as a young teacher from Ardeal, lacking accommodation. The house, built in the late 1980s, was intended for the Ceaușescu family but was never inaugurated due to the regime's fall. It was later assigned to the Constantin Brâncuși Foundation and now serves as an art museum showcasing Romanian painters' collections.
