Galeria Apollo din Muzeul Luvru se redeschide fără bijuterii expuse, în urma jafului de anul trecut

The Apollo Gallery at the Louvre reopened to the public without any displayed jewelry, following a significant theft last year. Visitors can now view the 17th-century interior, while the stolen items, valued at 88 million euros, are secured elsewhere. French Culture Minister Catherine Pegard hailed the reopening as a fresh start for the museum after a traumatic event. The theft occurred in October 2025, with thieves escaping just before police arrived. Security measures are being enhanced, including the installation of new surveillance cameras. Four suspects have been charged, but most stolen items remain missing, except for a damaged crown found nearby.
