The Romanian player, ranked 66th in the WTA, dominated the match, allowing her opponent minimal opportunities. Ruse will face either Alevtina Ibragimova or Yeonwoo Ku in the next round. Her victory secured her a prize of $4,285 and 30 WTA ranking points. Additionally, Ruse is competing in the doubles event, where she and partner Maya Joint reached the quarterfinals.
