G7 vrea să aloce 260 de milioane de euro Ucrainei pentru repararea reactorului avariat de la Cernobîl
G7 countries plan to provide Ukraine with €260 million for urgent repairs to the protective structure at the Chernobyl nuclear plant. The total repair costs are estimated at €500 million, with Ukraine seeking additional funding from other donors. Ukrainian Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this support after a G7 finance ministers meeting in Bangkok. The damaged structure, known as New Safe Confinement, covers reactor number 4, which was destroyed in the 1986 nuclear accident. Recent attacks have raised concerns about nuclear safety in Ukraine amid ongoing conflict with Russia.
