The Romanian Competition Council has approved the merger between French companies Maïsadour and Euralis, both active in Romania's agricultural sector. This merger aims to support farmers and regions in southwestern France. Euralis operates through Lidea Romania and Istris, while Maïsadour is represented by Maisadour Semences Romania. Both companies are involved in seed production and poultry farming. Euralis has a turnover of 1.57 billion euros and supports 5,400 farmers, while Maïsadour generates 1.47 billion euros and collaborates with 5,000 farmers. The merger is expected to enhance their market presence and operational efficiency.
