The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) in Romania is implementing a color-coded evaluation system for energy suppliers based on their complaint management. This system categorizes suppliers into six colors, from red to green, reflecting their performance in handling customer complaints. The new regulation, established by ANRE Order no. 61/2026, introduces the Complaint Management Index (IGP), which will help consumers assess service quality alongside pricing. Suppliers will be classified quarterly, and results will be available on ANRE's website and in energy offer comparators. The aim is to enhance transparency in the energy market, allowing customers to make informed choices.
