Water supply is suspended in several neighborhoods of Galați due to scheduled works aimed at optimizing the water supply system. The municipality clarifies that the interruption is not due to drought. The project involves connecting an 800 mm diameter pipeline to enhance water supply security. This new connection will allow the Water Plant to source water from deeper reserves, reducing reliance on the Danube. The works are preventive, ensuring alternative water supply options, especially in case of low Danube levels. Affected areas include Micro neighborhoods and local businesses.
