Fumatul nu atacă doar plămânii. Pericolul major pe care mulți fumători încă îl subestimează

A recent study highlights that many smokers underestimate the cardiovascular risks associated with smoking, despite awareness of lung cancer. The research, involving over 240,000 smokers from 46 countries, reveals that while over 90% know smoking causes lung cancer, only about 70% recognize its link to strokes. Smoking is linked to over two million cardiovascular deaths annually. The study emphasizes the need for clearer public health messages regarding the dangers of smoking beyond lung health, including heart disease and stroke risks. Additionally, passive smoking poses significant risks, with over 1.6 million non-smokers dying prematurely each year due to tobacco exposure.
