Fructul românesc care hrănește toată Europa, suntem lideri detașați. Interesul este tot mai mare - Economica.net

Romania remains the largest European walnut producer, with an estimated production of 59,000 tons in 2026, slightly down from last year's record. Despite challenges like drought, interest in walnut farming is growing, particularly among small farmers. The country significantly outpaces France, which is projected to produce 31,500 tons. The number of walnut trees in Romania has increased to 2.78 million, driven by EU subsidies. Overall, walnut production in the EU is expected to decline slightly this year, with major export destinations being the UK, Switzerland, and Moldova.
