Frontex deschide un birou la Roma pentru a „combate fluxurile neregulate și a gestiona returnările”

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Italy to establish a Frontex liaison office at Fiumicino Airport. This office will enhance operational coordination against irregular migration in the Central Mediterranean. It will host a team responsible for logistics and information collection, improving decision-making processes. The initiative aims to strengthen the EU's external border protection and facilitate the repatriation of undocumented migrants. Frontex currently deploys around 300 officers in Italy to combat illegal immigration and conduct border checks.
