German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth over 1.3 billion euros during his visit to Kyiv, amid escalating Russian attacks. The package includes approximately 1 billion euros in military assistance, featuring long-range attack weapons, combat drones, and satellite technology. Additionally, around 350 million euros will support energy needs for the winter, focusing on generators and repairs. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted the signing of 15 agreements worth over 8.5 billion euros, primarily for security cooperation and arms production. Zelensky emphasized the importance of air defense in the current situation, calling Merz's visit a significant show of support for Ukraine.
