Fraudă de 1,8 milioane de euro cu fonduri UE destinate persoanelor sărace din Dolj. Cinci persoane, trimise în judecată

Five individuals have been indicted by the European Public Prosecutor's Office for defrauding EU funds aimed at supporting impoverished communities in Dolj County. The group allegedly manipulated 22 public procurement procedures across seven EU-funded projects, causing an estimated loss of 1.8 million euros. The accused coordinated efforts to mislead local representatives into applying for funding, subsequently submitting false documentation to secure contracts. The projects were intended to provide food and training for marginalized rural communities. If convicted, the defendants face prison sentences ranging from 3 to 10 years.
