„Frații noștri din România”. Grecii le mulțumesc pompierilor români plecați să lupte cu incendiile de vegetație

Romanian firefighters have once again traveled to Greece to assist with severe wildfires, marking their fifth consecutive year of participation in this mission. A team of 40 firefighters is heading to Nea Makri to monitor high-risk areas and combat fires from August 1 to September 15, 2026. Their equipment includes specialized vehicles and drones for effective intervention. The departure has sparked emotional reactions online, with Greeks expressing gratitude and solidarity, recalling past assistance from Romanian teams. Tragically, three Greek firefighters recently lost their lives battling the blazes, highlighting the urgency of the situation. Romania has also extended its mission in France due to requests for additional support.
