Franţa va rata ţinta de reducere a deficitului bugetar în 2026

France's economy is projected to grow less than expected this year, with the government missing its budget deficit reduction target, according to Finance Minister Roland Lescure. The revised growth forecast for 2026 is now 0.5%, down from 0.7%, while a 1% growth is still expected for next year. Lescure attributed the slower growth to various crises, including political uncertainties and rising energy prices. The government faces challenges in reducing the budget deficit to 5% of GDP due to increased borrowing costs. Although France can still issue bonds, the cost of servicing its debt has risen significantly, leading to higher-than-expected expenditures.
