Franța interzice rețelele sociale pentru copiii sub 15 ani

France has become the first European country to ban social media access for children under 15, following the adoption of a new law by its Parliament. The law aims to protect minors from excessive social media use and harmful content exposure. President Emmanuel Macron praised the legislation, stating that France is leading the way in Europe for online child protection. New social media accounts will be subject to age verification rules starting September 1, while existing accounts will follow from January 1. The law also prohibits mobile phone use in high schools, complementing existing restrictions in primary education. A similar legislative initiative is being considered in Romania.
