Franklin Templeton International Services has withdrawn its application for the role of fund manager for Fondul Proprietatea after contesting the evaluation results. The company, currently managing the fund, expressed significant disagreements with the assessment by the Committee of Representatives, which ranked them second. Despite this withdrawal, Franklin Templeton remains committed to managing the fund until April 2027, highlighting its contributions to corporate governance and shareholder value in Romania over the past 16 years. The final decision on the new fund manager will be made by the shareholders at the end of the month.
