The Local Council of Constanța approved a collaboration protocol for the cultural and tourist valorization of Queen Maria's Royal Villa in Mamaia. The villa, a national heritage site, was built between 1923 and 1926 and is linked to the royal family. The municipality aims to reintegrate the villa into public life as part of a 'Royal Route' connecting significant royal sites. Restoration is part of a larger cultural heritage project funded by the Council of Europe, with a total estimated value of 280 million euros. Preparations for restoration are underway, with necessary approvals obtained and further steps planned for public procurement and execution of works.
