Recent archaeological excavations in Alba Iulia's Partoș neighborhood have uncovered significant Roman artifacts, including a marble statuette of Aesculapius, the god of medicine. These findings are linked to the ancient colony of Aurelia Apulensis, known as Chrysopolis or 'City of Gold'. The ongoing research aims to preserve these discoveries and create an archaeological park for public access. The site has revealed structures dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries, providing insights into the daily lives and beliefs of its inhabitants. Future plans include developing the area into a cultural space for education and tourism.
