The Consumer Protection Authority conducted inspections on the Romanian coast, leading to the temporary suspension of 12 businesses and fines totaling approximately 400,000 lei. Inspections revealed significant deficiencies in hygiene and service quality, particularly at SC AMI HOLIDAYS SRL, where over 40 tourists required medical attention. The authority plans to extend checks on accommodation and food services in response to complaints about service quality and hygiene. Violations included improper maintenance and hygiene in food preparation areas, as well as unsafe recreational equipment. Businesses were penalized and required to address deficiencies before resuming operations.
