The Tour of Romania saw a significant change in leadership after the challenging third stage from Piatra Neamț to Băile Balvanyos. Hungarian cyclist Barnabás Vas won the stage, while his teammate András Gustáv Pakot took the overall lead. The stage, marked by technical climbs, showcased a selection of riders, with a breakaway attempt ultimately caught. The final ascent proved decisive, allowing Vas to secure victory and Pakot to claim the yellow jersey with a two-second lead. Romanian rider Matthew-Denis Piciu finished fourth, maintaining a strong position in the competition. With two stages remaining, the battle for the overall title remains open.
