The building at Calea Victoriei 31 in Bucharest, known as the former "Café de la Paix" block, is classified as Rsl seismic risk. Currently, it poses a public danger, with its basement and ground floor evacuated due to deterioration, while upper floors remain inhabited. Originally built around 1876 for Prince Callimachi, it is located in a protected area but is not listed as a historical monument. The café opened in 1936 and quickly became a popular meeting place for renowned writers. After its closure in 1948, the space hosted various businesses, with significant alterations made over the years. Technical evaluations indicate a low seismic safety level, and urgent consolidation works are needed despite a project being developed.
