The Bucharest City Hall announced the modernization of the Berceni depot, which will feature 55 electric bus charging stations. These upgrades must be completed by the end of 2026 to secure European funding. Workers are currently constructing a 340-meter-long trench for the electrical network that will power the buses. Additionally, 67 more charging stations will be set up at other depots. Failure to finish the project on time could result in losing 52.2 million euros in non-reimbursable funds allocated for the purchase of 100 electric buses.
