The Mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, announced that the construction of the Apărătorii Patriei Passage is progressing to a new phase with concrete being poured for the bridge. This marks a significant step towards the completion of this strategic infrastructure project in Bucharest, which began in December 2023. The estimated cost for the bridge is around 20 million euros, while the total investment for the project is approximately 242 million lei. Once completed, the passage aims to improve traffic flow over Șoseaua Berceni. Following this project, the construction of the 'Berceni Tunnel' will commence, designed as an underground Y-shaped road passage, with an estimated cost exceeding 80 million euros. The project has received administrative approval, and expropriation procedures for the necessary land have been initiated.
