The Bucharest City Hall announced the construction of the Petricani Overpass in collaboration with Sector 2, Ilfov County Council, and Voluntari. This project aims to alleviate traffic congestion at a problematic railway crossing. The overpass will span nearly one kilometer and will include significant infrastructure improvements, such as an intermodal transport hub and metro extension. The estimated cost is around 400 million lei, funded by non-repayable European funds. Responsibilities for the project are clearly divided among the involved authorities, with ongoing safety concerns at the crossing.
