Romania's Vard Tulcea shipyard has built Japan's largest cable-laying vessel, named 'Discovery', for Toyo Construction. This hybrid-powered ship was launched and then equipped in Norway. It marks Vard's first delivery to Japan for the wind energy sector and will significantly aid Japan's offshore wind farm initiatives, targeting a total capacity of 10 GW.
