NEPI Rockcastle has acquired MegaPark Barakaldo in Spain for over €250 million, marking its first investment outside Central and Eastern Europe. The mall, with a gross leasable area of approximately 81,000 sqm, serves around 1.1 million residents in the Bilbao metropolitan area and has a strong occupancy rate. This acquisition is seen as a strategic move to enhance NEPI's presence in a dynamic market. The company also secured a €250 million loan from the EBRD for further investments in Romania and other countries.
