The Alba-Hunedoara branch of the Romanian Writers' Union awarded its literary prizes for 2025 on August 22, recognizing outstanding authors and their works. The jury, composed of notable writers, evaluated candidates based on their published works, achievements, and contributions to cultural promotion. Notable awards included 'Book of the Year' for Mircea Stâncel and Ion Moldovan, 'Opera Omnia' for Ion Hirghiduș, and several other categories recognizing debut, translations, literary criticism, and children's literature. The event was organized by the Alba County Council and the 'Lucian Blaga' County Library.
