The pedestrian crossing at the Ion Mihalache / Ion Mincu / Alexandru Câmpeanu intersection is increasingly difficult to navigate due to tram track rehabilitation works. A community member highlighted that one of the two crossing plates was removed, and the pedestrian signal timing was reduced, making it challenging for vulnerable individuals. The situation has led to congestion as pedestrians, including those with strollers, struggle to cross safely. Concerns have also been raised about other crossings in Sector 1, with calls for better visibility and signaling to ensure pedestrian safety. The community is advocating for the reinstatement of the second crossing plate to improve the flow of foot traffic.
