The Bucharest City Hall announced plans to renovate the park around the National Arena, following a collaboration protocol with Sector 2. The project will focus on improving green spaces and pathways, with Sector 2 responsible for the actual work, including planting, maintenance, and cleaning. Additionally, the National Arena will undergo rehabilitation and modernization in preparation for the UEFA Europa League final in 2028, which includes structural repairs and upgrades to broadcasting equipment. Bucharest secured the hosting rights against strong competition from other cities.
