Bucharest has successfully removed nearly 3,000 kilometers of illegally hung internet and TV cables, according to the city hall. The last 750 meters were taken down from five streets by the Municipal Public Lighting Company. This effort allows for significant improvements in the city's appearance, as the removed cables could circle the city multiple times. However, some residents report that not all cables have been removed, citing specific streets where cables still hang. The city had previously notified operators to relocate their services underground, with a 60-day compliance period. Despite the city's claims, ongoing issues with remaining cables have been highlighted by citizens.
